Lebanon-based ProAbled offers an online platform to integrate persons with special needs into the workforce.
Sanita has recruited persons with disabilities since 2003. Today, four per cent of the company’s workforce has disabilities, including Down Syndrome, paralysis, amputations, mobility and dexterity impairments, and speech difficulties. Candidate selection is based on competencies required in job descriptions, including physical and mental requirements related to safety and operations in a manufacturing environment. Sanita offers reserved parking, disabled access into buildings and restrooms with safe passageways, floor designations, and appropriate signage.
INDEVCO companies are actively working to empower employees with disabilities. Facilitating their employment and economic inclusion aligns with UN SDG8 Decent Work and Economic Growth (Target 8.5) and SDG10 Reduced Inequalities (Target 10.2) to achieve full, productive and decent work, as well as promote the social and economic inclusion of all.
